준, 채영, 도기는 이제 곧 성인이 될 열 아홉 살짜리 아이들이다. 준은 이들의 리더이자 채영의 애인이다. 세 사람은 고등학교 시절을 마감하고 자유의 세계로 향하기 위한 멋진 성인식을 함께 준비한다. 그러나 손꼽아 기다리던 성인식은 준의 갑작스런 죽음으로 치러지지 못한다.
열 아홉의 아픈 상처를 간직한 채 스물한 살이 된 도기와 채영. 이들은 자신들의 우상 준을 마음 속에 묻어둔 채 힘겨운 젊음을 지탱해 나간다. 여전히 그들의 발목을 붙잡는 준의 환영을 지우지 못해 섹스와 알코올로 허전함을 채우고 마리화나를 피우며 현실의 불안을 잊는 두 사람.
서로 사랑을 느끼지만 준의 기억으로 인해 둘의 사이는 늘 어색해진다. 채영은 마음과는 달리 도기를 받아들이지 못하고, 도기 또한 항상 자신이 준의 대타인 것 같아 불안하기만 하다.
June, Chae-young, and Do-gi are soon going to be adults. June is the leader of the three and also Chae-young’s boyfriend. After graduating high school they prepare a grand coming-of-age ceremony to enter the free world. However, the ceremony is foundered due to June’s unexpected death.
Keeping June’s memory in their heart, Do-gi and Chae-young turn 21. Cherishing their idol, they painfully carry on with their life. They try to fill their mutual emptiness through sex, alcohol, and Marijuana but June’s phantom still haunts them.
They feel love for each other but becomes awkward everytime June’s memory comes between them. Despite her feeling, Chae-young can’t accept Do-gi and Do-gi can’t help thinking that he is June’s substitute.
